We have keyless chucks on our mini mill and drill press and use them for everything. A drill chuck alone has no way to mount in the mini mill. A drill chuck arbor has one end that fits in the back of the drill chuck and another end that goes in the mini mill's spindle. The chuck to arbor connection is pretty much permanent.

1/21/2010· I have a mini mill that I use for drilling holes in folders, its a pain to get set up compared to the drill press so I would not advise it in place of a drill press. I use my drill press alot more than the mill for holes. BTW with the correct speed you drilling will be more accurate and you wont burn bits.
